A Radical Approach to Understanding Employee’s Chronic Pain

When:  Oct 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  Tech Valley Chapter
Lisa Baranik, Ph.D., will discuss recent
research regarding chronic pain in the
workplace. Research suggests that 20-
40% of workers experience chronic pain,
and it is not usually due to ergonomics or
physical issues (herniated discs, etc.), but
is often due to stress and trouble managing
difficult emotions. We will discuss the
implications of this research for managers,
supervisors, and organizations seeking to
optimize employee performance.
