The Macroscope is a concept introduced by Joël de Rosnay a molecular biologist in his 1979 book (with the same title).  De Rosnay noted that “The Macroscope filters details and amplifies that which links things together. It is not used to make things larger or smaller but to observe what is at once too great, too slow, and too complex for our eyes.”  They are visual and stylistic representations of a complex reality.  And they are extremely useful!    In everyday use, maps are generally macroscopic.  They can answer an important question - We are here, how do I get there?

At its core business modeling is a macroscopic process.    Jim will discuss the integration and presentation of Management Accounting information, macroscopically.  Basically, a mapping process - we are here, how do we get there!

Today, Jim Kuba is a semi-retired business professional.
