This session will discuss current perspectives in Human Resource management.

  • What unique issues face small business owners?
  • How do you create useful job descriptions?
  • How do you recruit and hire the best employees?
  • How do you select and train employees, minimizing employee turnover?
The featured presenter will be Dr. Lisa Baranik.  She is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University at Albany, School of Business.  Her research focuses on understanding how employees learn and develop, and her research interests include mentoring relationships at work, work motivation and achievement goals, and occupational health psychology, focusing on stressors that employees experience at work.
